2008 Summer Event With Portland Impact!

“Dancing Tree Quarter Horses” is a strong supporter of Portland Impact. These pictures are from our 2007 event with Portland Impact, and we are very excited to be involved again this year.

Portland Impact’s mission is to help people achieve and maintain self-sufficiency and to prevent and alleviate the effects of poverty.  Founded in 1967 the Agency serves over 70,000 low income people in Multnomah County annually.

We are specifically involved with Portland Impact’s Mentoring Program.  This program matches caring volunteer mentors with young people experiencing the effects of poverty.

We offer the opportunity for all of the young people and their mentors to come to “Laughlin Road Ranch” and experience the country.  The event includes horseback rides, a picnic lunch, games and a beautiful environment to experience both the vitality and serenity of nature.  The young people also have an opportunity to learn what it’s like to live and work in the country and on a quarter horse ranch.

Our next event will be this summer.
